You checked the pregnancy test you held in your hand. After your, um...experience a few days ago with your German husband, Ludwig, you wanted to make sure that everything was alright and you didn't have to prepare for anything that could happen.
"C'mon, hurry up," you said to yourself, looking down every few seconds. About a minute or so of overwhelming anxiousness a little blue mark faded on the pure white circle. It formed into a small plus sign.
Doubting the results, you checked the box to see what that meant, and you read it out loud.
"A small blue minus sign means the test is negative. Nothing to worry about! On the other hand, a small blue plus sign means the test is positive, but you knew that already. Well fuck you too, pregnancy test company." Terrible attitude or not, you were pregnant. You were going to have a little bundle of joy to add to your family. "I suppose I should break the news to Ludwig, but he's at work. I'll just wait." You thought about how you were to prepare the announcement, and then it hit you.
You got into your car and drove to the party store. You picked up 2 balloons, one that said "It's a girl!" and another that said "It's a boy!". You paid for the balloons and drove home. You set up the balloons on the kitchen table, sat down in one of the chairs, and waited for your husband to come home.

You had already ate dinner, and were still waiting at the kitchen table. Just when you'd given up hope, Ludwig walked in drunk, holding beer bottles with Gilbert and Feliciano, who were also drunk out of their minds. You put on a fake smile and greeted them, even though you were pretty annoyed.
"Hello Ludwig, why are you home so late?" you asked, your smile fading away.
"I'll explain later, but vhat's with the balloons?" Ludwig pointed at the balloons you bought hours ago.
Feliciano was the first to catch on. "Oh! Congratulations bella! Si, this is an amazing event!"
Gilbert was the one who realized next. "Kesesese! Vest is going to be a father! I'm so proud of my little brother!"
Ludwig was still confused. "Vhat? Vhat is going on here? Am I missing something?"
"Vest, you moron! ______ is pregnant!" Gilbert shouted at him.
"Ohhh!" Ludwig picked you up and hugged you, "I'm going to be a father! I can't believe it!" Your fake happiness melted into a genuine smile.
Feliciano was jumping up and down cheering, and Gilbert was clapping for you two.
"I love you, ____." Ludwig kissed you.
"I love you, too, Ludwig."
While watching T.V. on the couch. You felt an extreme pain in your 9 month pregnant belly.
You thought it was nothing, until you felt a weird wetness. 'This is it,' you thought. Unfortunately, it was Tuesday, and Ludwig was at work. Luckily, you knew that both Feliciano and Gilbert were off today. You grabbed your cell phone and tried to call Gilbert first.
"Hello! You have called the Awesome Prussia! I am to awesome to be at the phone right now, so call me back later!"
'Fuck. It went to voicemail. I better try calling Feliciano!' you thought. Contractions started, and you had almost no time to waste.
"Ciao, bella! What's the matter? Kiku and Gilbert are here too, did you want to speak to them?" Thank god he answered the phone!
"Well Feli, the reason I called you today was because I'M IN LABOR, CAPTAIN OBVIOUS! I NEED TO GET TO THE HOSPITAL!" you yelled through the phone.
"AH! Okay we'll be right over!" He hung up and all you could do was sit there and wait for them. Fortunately, they arrived in less than 5 minutes. You got in the backseat with Kiku, and Gilbert was driving, leaving Feliciano in the passenger seat.
Gilbert was the only calm one while the 3 of you were left panicking and screaming. He was on his phone, and all you could hear from him was, "Your wife's in labor, jackass! We're driving her to the hospital! Get off work as soon as you can!" He hung up the phone and spoke to you. "Alright, I called Ludwig. He's trying to leave work early, though he can't make any promises."
Tears trickled down your face. The thought of giving birth to your first child without him was unthinkable. Kiku saw you were crying and wiped your tears away with a pale blue handkerchief. You smiled at his politeness said "Thanks, Kiku." You wanted to hug him, but you knew of his personal space issues, so you didn't.
"It's nothing, _____. Arso, I think we'rr armost there." You looked out the window and saw the hospital building in the distance. It calmed you down a little, but not enough. Gilbert pulled into the parking lot and you all rushed inside.
You grabbed Kiku's hand and squeezed it tight each time you were in pain. Feliciano was holding the video camera, and Gilbert was just running around unsure of what to do. The nurse tried to comfort you. "You're doing great, Mrs. Beilschmidt. It shouldn't be much long-" She was cut off by the door opening and Ludwig stepping inside.
"Ludwig!" you cried in happiness.
"I am so sorry I couldn't be here sooner. My boss wouldn't let me go. Did I miss much?" Ludwig stood next to you and grabbed your free hand. You just smiled awkwardly.
"You missed the panic attacks in the car." You giggled a little.
Ludwig looked concerned and Gilbert just said, "It's a long story, we'll tell you later."
"One more push!" the doctor said.
You pushed as hard as you could and held Ludwig's hand in your grasp tighter than a bear trap. With that one push, the baby was out!
"Congratulations, Mr. and Mrs. Beilschmidt! It's a girl!" You two started crying tears of happiness.
"I told-a you it would be a girl! You owe me 5 bucks!" Feliciano said to Gilbert. Gilbert handed him the money, and Kiku just smiled. You held your little girl in your arms. She had Ludwig's eyes and your hair.
"She's perfect, liebe." Ludwig said.
"What are you going to name her, Vest?" Gilbert asked.
"I have an idea!" Feli shouted, gaining everyone's attention. "How about Fiorella? It means 'little flower'. It's perfect for her!"
"Fiorella." You said it out loud. "I like that. Do you like it, Ludwig?"
"Fiorella Beilschmidt. That's it. I love it." Ludwig took her out of your arms and held her. "Welcome to the world, Fiorella."
